Source Media Group is seeking a full-time graphic designer, who is as motivated as they are skilled. We’re looking for someone who can do everything well: from magazine article page layouts, to building ads, to website updates. Experience is an asset, but we’re also willing to look at recent grads and internships. It’s all about what you can do – not how long you’ve been doing it.

• Reports directly to Art Director;
• Design and layout of various editorial pages for regular publications at the request of the Art Director;
• Create ads, in-house materials (rate cards, promotional items, etc.) and/or other graphic design projects as required within specified deadlines;
• Works with Production Co-ordinator and Art Director to ensure appropriate quality and tone of all work from both a creative and production standpoint;
• Responsible for getting materials (ad and story proofs) to sales/editorial staff promptly;
• Ability to format print materials for website use;
• Ensures all materials are properly organized and filed for archiving as required, and all unnecessary files are deleted, prior to archiving;
• Ensures quality of all materials built or received, includes checking specs of all raw materials required for work assigned;
• Ability to perform photo enhancements and colour corrections for print and online;
• Often called on to share duties of Production Co-ordinator – must know all/most aspects of production, uploading to print, filing systems, etc.;
• Works as a team with the Editor, Art Director and Sales;
• Expert level knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, HTML, and more.;
• Some overtime and special events attendance is required.
